The Little Miami Scenic Trail undergoes a lot of changes during the year, both manmade and natural—from construction projects that maintain the trail’s functionality to the natural seasonal changes along the river that make the trail so beautiful. With the recent installation of trail-user-driven, time lapse photo stations, now you can begin to follow these transitions over the year.
New Grandin Rd. Trail Access
After almost two years of closure, the trail is now open at Grandin Rd. (Cartridge Factory, mm 35.3). The $22 million King Ave. Bridge replacement project brings many improvements to the trail and surrounding area.
Trail Alerts: Closings and Condition Report
Morrow: Todd Fork bridge, MM 28.2. Trail closed for bridge painting and renovation. Detour via Bishop Park, E. Pike St. sidewalk in front of village administration building, and Front Street.
Corwin: SR 73 overpass, MM 14.5. Road Bridge replacement. Trail will remain open to bicyclists and pedestrians. However, expect intermittent short-term trail closures. Scheduled completion Fall 2024.
Loveland: The pedestrian bridge on the trail over O’Bannon Creek in Loveland (just north of Nisbet Park) remains closed thru May 2024 for replacement (photo above). The trail remains open both south and north of the bridge.
Spring Valley: S.R. 42 overpass replacement, MM 7.0. Although the trail will remain open throughout most of the project, it will be subject to intermittent periods of closure. Scheduled completion June 2025.
Trail Condition:
Caesar Creek / Middletown Rd. bridge (MM 16.5) Trail bridge replacement. Work scheduled for 2024. Exercise care riding over steel plates on bridge.
Trail under I-71 Jeremiah Morrow Bridge (MM 22.1) Trail slippage on east side of trail due to undercutting by creek.
Trail Between Hedges Road and Richland Road (MM 4.5) Trail slippage on east side of trail due to undercutting by Glady Run.
